At Dental Solutions we now offer flexible partial dentures which are a more comfortable and lightweight alternative to traditional hard acrylic or metal dentures. Flexible dentures could be the perfect solution for an individual who has lost one or more of their natural teeth as a result of gum disease, dental infection or a sporting injury.
Patients who wear flexible dentures are extremely unlikely to experience any pain or discomfort from the fixture, due to the lack of metal clasps or adhesive. Using this form of treatment, individuals are able to enjoy increased retention as a result of the custom-fitted design. The thin and lightweight nature of the device allows patients to feel more confident when eating and speaking, due to its effective retention.
In addition, flexible dentures provide a more cosmetic solution for people by being more aesthetically pleasing than their traditional counterparts. The material used to create the fixture is transparent and blends in with the natural gum colour in the mouth. The metal clasps found in traditional dentures are replaced with tooth coloured clasps in flexible dentures.
